What is Pattern Imprinted Concrete?

Pattern Imprinted Concrete is the process of recreating expensive and aesthetically desirable paving materials such as cobblestone, slate, brick, York stone and tile in a variety of patterns and colour combinations using a high quality ready mixed concrete.

Pattern Imprinted Concrete allows rapid construction of large paved areas for a variety of applications and environments. The outstanding result is not only attractive but has the added benefits of being weed free, oil and petrol resistant, highly durable and wear resistant, virtually maintenance free and will not suffer from settlement or sinking as is common with many other systems used as paving today.

The idea originated in New Zealand, however, the process used today was developed in the USA in the early 1970s. The system is now used widely throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America and has been available in the UK since 1982.
